Other names for Zaka: Azaka, Azaka Mede, Azaka Tonnè, Azaka Gweliye, Minis Azaka, Kouzen Zaka, Minis Agrikilti. Attributes: Lwa of agriculture; patron of farmers and cultivators. Main rites: Kongo, Matinik, Rada. Due to his affectionate nature, this Lwa has been nicknamed Papa Zaka. However, he loves to gossip and meddle in people's private lives. An old farmer and hardworking cultivator, he dresses in blue work clothes and a straw hat, with his pipe always in hand. Even though he is not Gede, he is the brother of Gede Nibo, who often attends his services. He has a voracious appetite and his Vévé is designed with cornmeal, his favorite dish. The box in the Vévé contains seeds, and the rectangle is a cultivated field. During the theomorphosis, the adept of Zaka transforms into a kind, good-natured person who listens to the requests of those present and gives good advice.
